07/03/2009 | KF7HB I combined Field Day with a family camping trip to Emigrant Springs State Park in Eastern Oregon this year. What a great time. Great weather, and pretty good propagation, I thought. I used my K1 and solar cells and batteries. I used a "Norcal doublet" antenna strung about 25' up in the trees at the campground. I recommend this design as low cost, convenient way to have a decent, portable, QRP signal. -- KF7HB
