07/06/2009 | W7SP At our June club meeting, the Field Day chairman put up a Google Earth picture of our FD site at Payson Lakes and asked if everyone knew how to get to the site. A joker in the crowd said, "Sure, just drive until you come to the big yellow push pin."

I couldn't resist the challenge, so here is the Utah Amateur Radio Club's giant, 6 foot tall push pin to mark our camp site. Note the 85 foot tower in the background.

Push pin constructed by Chuck Johnson, WA7JOS & Arlene Johnson, KD7IZC. It is self supporting from the center pole, and collapses to about 4" thick for storage. -- WA7JOS
