07/04/2009 | W9IRC Illiana Radio Club has members in both east central Illinois and Indiana. Since we are a new club of only 6 months, we were 7A for field day. Everything went very well. It was organized down to the very last detail.

We made a lot of contacts during the 24 hours and were extremely pleased with member participation and even gained several new memberships.

So a lot of wonderful things happened for our club and amature radio.

We had a lot of great publicity and many visitors came out to see just what we do. We are a family oriented club and do many volunteer community activities between the 2 states involved and the counties each member represents.

IRC is looking forward to next year already! -- W9OZZ
