07/09/2009 | N0NAF The Coon Valley ARC in past years has used a steel mounting plate
with a mast to mount the HF Vertical Antenna. We had to use EXTRA
concrete blocks to keep it from blowing over on windy days.
This year we had a counter weight that cured that carrying the blocks the front wheel of a Farm Tractor. The 6 meter KU4AB halo was mounted on a 10 ft mast strapped to a bucket truck. T hat provided about 50 ft height and worked good. -- WA0GUD
