08/03/2009 | KB0HH This was a tough contest!! We made 29 contacts after 24 hours of operating. Tad, KC5DPT, and Dave, KA0KCI, worked hard for each and every one of them!! KB0HH cooked and worked the microwave bands .. .. and made an occasional CW contact on 222 MHz and 432 MHz. We had a relaxed weekend with time to plan for the upcoming September VHF contest. More (divergent) antennas, more power, and better meals, are planned! We have the prospect of some rovers from the upper midwest being in the area for September. We will enjoy the added activity!
