09/14/2009 | N0UY Living in a somewhat remote part of the state, VHF contesting is always an effort. Most major population sources are 250 miles away from my station. The rovers play an important part of grid activation and are greatly appreciated for their efforts. I was surprised by the number of rovers I could hear under the somewhat poor conditions here in the upper midwest. Thanks to all for their efforts to participate in the Sept. contest.
