11/10/2009 | N7JI All in all, a fun contest - Stolen moments netted me 6+ hours of operating time, a far cry from the 18-24 hours I used to do when I was younger and before kids. Totaled 107 Qs & 45 sections running 5W to a ladder line-fed inverted vee with the peak 25' above the ground. Coulda been far worse - I didn't even get to participate the past three years. Thanks to all who heard and worked me - I deafened my radio by turning off the preamp to ensure that my experience was similar to yours (as I was -13db from 100W). -- N7JI
