11/23/2009 | WA7U This was our second SS-phone effort from WA7U. We've grown a nice crop of antennas in the past year, so we'll work on station ergonomics and switching next. We just picked up an older Alpha amp and it not only helped hold a frequency, it kept the shack warm and toasty.

The bands were terrific here in Montana. Having 15 meters open early Sunday morning to the east coast was frosting on the cake! We really appreciated the K3's receiver, we were able to narrow the bandwidth down and use the shift control to hear through all the splatter and keep going.

It was exciting to see all the checks of 07 and 08 in the contest. Gene -- KB7Q
