11/23/2009 | KZ2I I keep saying I'm getting too old for this $%^&** (60 next week 46 of them on the air), but every Phone SS sees me glued to the chair for 24 hours. I had worked class U on CW portion to see if I could get a sweep there with a minimum of that beeping stuff in my ears. Managed the sweep but just doesn't seem to be as much of a challenge. Phone weekend is a different story. Finding the needed sections all by myself is exciting and adds to the fun, especially running class A. This year was an easy one. I had a couple of good sit-and-run sessions. Even 15m showed some signs of life (COME ONNNN 10 meters! Wake UP!!). The sweep was done by around 9am Sunday, leaving 9 hours of coasting to the end. Let me take the time to thank our Canadian brethren. THREE VO1s and TWO VY1s in the log was a big surprise (heard the VE8 but didn't want to be a glutton). And it was also good to see a few DE stations on (RIP Dallas. You were missed). I hope everyone had as good a time as I did. See you all again next year. -- KZ2I
