12/15/2009 | K4WY Back for another round!... A true glutton for punishment... CW on 10... surely you gest! On Friday night and throughout Saturday, I thought the band was dead but as I listened I heard all kinds of tropo, local scatter, long dwell QSB and maybe even a quick "ZOT" from something - maybe meteor scatter??? My QSO rate was down slightly this year to 3 an hour..... Anyhow - I thought my best DX worked was going to be VY2SS until the last hour of the contest when several LU's, PY's were worked and an incredible contact with HC8GR. I had very little East - West activity, just NC, PA, VA and MD from my VA QTH.
I wish we had this kind of activity every weekend on 10 so I could try out some different modes. 73 and see you next year. -- K4WY
