12/15/2009 | KC2RBE Many thanks to my friend Tom N2YTF for helping me participate in my first contest. His K3 and battery setup worked like a champ. The prospect of starting at nearly the bottom of the sun cycle and working my way up can only mean things will get better from here. On Saturday afternoon DX for us was Ma! It was very interesting working a contest on 10M. We picked up some sporadic E but did not make any QSOs with it. I am looking froward to more contesting in the future.
