12/15/2009 | KE6DCE This was my first time on HF and my first contest. I set my goal at 10 contacts and was very surprised and pleased to have been able to make 32 contacts despite very poor band conditions. On Saturday, I only made 8 contacts, but on Sunday afternoon the band opened to GA, AL, LA, and MS. Later, several contacts in Texas and two contacts in Brazil were made. I found everyone to be very helpful and courteous on the radio, and I thank everyone I was able to contact from Colorado.
