12/17/2009 | KI6VC I love 10 meters...When it's active!! The first 2 1/2 hours I had 4 Qs two CAs and two AZs. Saturday morning I found the band blanked out with an S9+ noise. When it cleared I began slowly working WAs and COs. Just as the pace picked up the power went out! This happen 3 times and the mental picture of my 756ProIII with a mushroom cloud over it still haunts me. The last outage came at the start of a really good run too. Sunday I caught one good opening but it was only a single hop good for west of the Rockies. I only worked 1 PA, 2 GAs and a few MNs. For DX I snagged a PY, an LU and several KH6s. When the smoke cleared the measly 136 Qs felt a lot bigger. How about points for every 100 unanswered CQs?
