12/19/2009 | KY2P 1st time as full time contester and submitter. Great learning experience! I used my random wire, hamstick on a fence, and a 10m dipole...none was better than the other. The band was mostly local with VERY spotty sporadic E, until Saturday night - at about 0130Z, BOOM!, wide open south to GA and west to SD for about 2 hours. Sunday had some ok openings even to the Carribean...but sporadically sporadic..hi hi.

And wouldn't you know that 5 minutes before the end of the contest it opens again!?
