07/24/2002 | VE2OWL These were the nicest conditions for a contest this year. There was even a lady from California, KE6YTT who greeted us with 88s. I was glad to receive mine on 3 bands! All the bands were open, 80m and 40m were VERY low in noise, but full of DX! I can't believe what my G5RV, only 35 ft up, could do! It was nice to see some familiar callsigns again. Then, some new ones too. I wish I could have heard the maritime provinces NB, NF and also the states of MT, NV and ND. Its going to have to wait until next year! -- VE2OWL
