01/04/2010 | WD5IYT I've been a ham since 1978 and had never worked SKN. What a great time I've missed! 40m late at night reminded me of what the Novice bands used to sound like. It was just wonderful.

I used my Elecraft K1 running 5 Watts to a 40m dipole. My key is a 1920's vintage J.H. Bunnell 7939 that was a gift from my mother upon passing my Novice exam.

My most enjoyable QSO was with Dick, WA5CAV, who had an excellent fist.
