01/05/2010 | W1FP This was a great SKN, partly because I was using a rig similar to my novice set-up in the 1960s, and also because I had 9 qsos lasting about 30 minutes each. My operating equipment consisted of an HT-40 tx putting out about 50 wts, a real nice BC-312 rx, which I worked on for many months recapping, and a Titanic replica straight key. All operations were on two crystal frequencies in the 80 meter band. Worked lots of other boat anchor setups, making for great conversations at the relaxed pace of SKN. Hope CUL in 2011.
