Had a great time once again during SKN. Made contact with the following: WQ0P, WA5ETK, WB4YXD, and K5BZH. This year I used my original Novice station, a HeathKit DX-60B and HR-10B, clean "one-owner" rigs I built in 1975 and '76. The only thing changed was the crystal. All contacts were on 7063.0. I was not able to operate there in 1976... we had 7100.0 to 7150.0 to use as Novice's. As a Novice, I had access to a "whopping" 11/16 inch of bandspread on the receiver dial! I don't think you will find any "new" rig that defines bandspread that way any-more. This was the 1st time these two radios have played together in 30 years! Will be back next year.
