This was the first time in years for us in FN30 in Long Island that there was no snowfall or very cold weather for our QRP portable operations. Weather was cool at around 40 degrees F both days at our hilltop location. Band conditions were flat on Saturday for us but on Sunday, there was a bit of tropo working, primarily on Two Meters with the approaching storm from the west. We were working into grids to the south of us with FM19 and FM29 being worked. A nice QSO was a CW QSO with KN4SM in FM16 on Two Meters. We worked up to noontime on Sunday and not much was happening on the bands. 432 was only good for neighboring grids. I did not witness any semblance of Sporadic-E activity on Six Meters this year. We still enjoyed going portable for the contest! -- WB2AMU
