We were able to secure the same special event callsign that we had last year. The Lockheed Martin Radio Club (W5SJZ) was kind enough to loan us their club station again this year. Our JOTA activites started at 10:00am local time. We put a map of the U.S. and a map of the world on the wall and had each scout locate their contact on the map. We were able to contact many other scout stations around the US and word. Our DX Contacts included Costa Rica, Germany, Bosnia, Poland,Italy, Macedonia, Venezuela, Uruguay and Tuvula. We primarily used SSB but also let the kids send their names using Morse Code. They also got a demonstration of RTTY and SSTV. We had almost 30 visitors into the shack with most being Cubscouts and a few Boy Scouts. Each kid managed at least one QSO with another scout and many had multiple US and DX QSO's.
Respectfully Submitted,
