10/26/2008 | N2S The Hall of Science Amateur Radio Club, WB2JSM (www.hosarc.org) hosted the 2008 Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) for the New York City area under the call sign N2S. Troop 787 (www.troop787.us) Committee Member and HOSARC Board of Director Rob Smith, AB2UV coordinated the event with the assistance of fellow club members.

Jacob Jacobowitz, KC2RBD a life Scout in Troop 787 and member of HOSARC showed his fellow scouts how easy it is to get on the air. 11 year old Brendan G. made our day when he inquired about getting his license.

In addition to Scouts we had visitors from the Hall of Science stop by and learn about Amateur Radio. One shy young lady dared to get on the radio. Once she was able to make a contact she had a nice conversation with female from California.
