Jamboree-On the Air

The Jamboree on the air was held on 10/18/2008, in beautiful Lake Havasu City, Az. The London Bridge Amateur Radio Club President Jerry France and LBAR member Garry Fisher helped Cub master of Pack 85 Cub scouts, Harley Trimm organize the event. All scouts were invited to attend the event. Girl scouts showed up and Pack 85 Cub scouts were all in attendance at this great event. We had over forty cub scouts and girl scouts attend. The scouts spoke with other scouts from as far as Canada, to Iowa to Texas, to New Jersey. The local newspaper came to the event and took pictures. One scout Rykert Trimm, was so into the ham radio, the local paper took a picture and put him on the front page.

Harley Trimm, Cub master has already put next year's event into her calendar and hopes to spread the Jamboree through out Kingman, Bullhead, Parker and Lake Havasu City.
