I, along with four members of Girl Scout Cadetts Troup 2160 and two of the scout leaders, gave JOTA a short but informative try. We set up a remote location station in an urban neighborhood. The girls set up the antenna, a long wire connected to an AH 4 antenna tuner, connected to an Icom 756 Pro III. They helped set up the radio and set up the generator and power cords. As it turned out the most challenging part of the setup for them was starting the generator. Contacts were slim for us but fun was had by all. -- N6FC
