11/02/2008 | N4S The Scout's Jamboree On The Air was a great success and we had a large turnout. The youngest ham in the state of North Carolina, KJ4EDF Cameron Hasson, came all the way from Gastonia to be with us. Cameron is 7 years old. KJ4EDF Cameron will appear on a news segment on TV station WCNC TV 36 (Cable 6) in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday November 5th on the 6 PM EST newscast. Boy Scout Troop 347 worked a lot of other Scout Troops using the special event callsign "N4S"
"N 4 Scouting". Most QSOs were stateside, seemed like we had a direct line to Texas, but we did talk with Scouts in Cancun, Mexico, Manchester, England, and Santa Maria, Iceland.
