I knew that I was driving to Arkansas with my dad, W7STT, from Ham-Com in Plano when the contest would be going on.  We decided to hook my FT-817 to the 2m 5/8 wave mag. mount.  An opening to the Eastern US opened up on 6m.  Imagine our surprise when after a few calls we had someone come back to us!  We operatedLimited Rover and activated EM33 and EM34 as we drove.  Five watts, the wrong antenna, more than 1000 miles!  What a lot of fun!
