06/29/2010 | W1WAB Field Day 2010 ! Ok.. I admit it. I had fun. I operated from the home station again this year as the local clubs did not have an organized event. I used the Kenwood TS-2000 as 1D-WCF in the extremely poor band conditions and made 70 or so low-power contacts on 20M ..maninly PSK31. Not bad for attic antennas! On Saturday night, I ran the Eagle NTS net on VHF/NI4CE. This radiogram net was a special event just to enable local clubs/hams to pass their extra credit Radiogram message to the Section manager. But only 4 messages were passed.. Way down from 2009’s 11! Thanks to all the stations who dug me out of the pileups! Bill W1WAB -- W1WAB
