2010 ARRL Field Day

06/29/2010 | K4TS

K4TS is the call of the Rappahannock Valley Amateur Radio Club.  We set up at Curtis Park in Stafford County, Virginia, a site we have used for several years.  We were an 8A station with a GOTA station, NX4Q.  The weather was HOT-HOT-HOT and dry.  We had a great Field Day with lots of contacts, good food and fellowship and most important FUN.  The International Space Station passed over at about 0200 Hrs local.  An attempt to use the transponder was not successful but the attempt was fun.  With the clear skys, the ISS was visible from horizon to horizon.
