07/03/2010 | N7JEH Had a great time motoring across the Nevada Section. I stayed on 40 meters to be available for Nevada Section NTS Traffic. Band conditions were pretty good, worked all contenental states and Canadian provinces west of the Rockies, running down the highway with an IC-706 feeding a High Sierra HS-1000 antenna. Visited several sites in Elko, Winnemucca and Reno. Only made 60 contacts, but was only on the air for 4 hours or so. Lots of fun! -- N7JEH
