We had the best Field Day turnout in years thanks to a club member who mailed postcard invitations to all the licensees in our area. A little friendly competition between the CW and phone ops increased the QSO count, too. It was blazing hot but we all took care and no one became sick because of the temperatures. Our special good fortune was a visit from the American Red Cross's "Spirit of America" food service vehicle.
