This was my first "solo" contest as well.  I was very surprised as I was typing in the callsign for "Hiram"...as I finished typing in W1AW it hit me!  I'm quite sure I sounded a bit flustered as I confirmed the call and reported "QSL"!  I've worked two Field Days with my local club, but this was my first attempt solo...and I really had a blast. It was also the first time ever working W1AW.

 I really didn't know what to expect as far as my own scoring, but I was very excited when I had at least 3 different pileups.  I was finding it hard to believe that so many people were actually *hearing* me and also wanted to try to work me!

While 66 total contacts is not considered "stellar" in most contacts, I'm proud of every one!  Many thanks to everybody who helped me and was very patient with the many repeats I asked for.
