All using stacked pairs of PAR Electronics loops. Overall, conditions were '-6db' Addendum, 01 March 2003 - Just stumbled upon this online soapbox from last year's Jan ARRL VHF Contest - now that I have the certificate for 1st place MI Section 2m for that test, I amend my soapbox comments to 'Overall, -3db', heheheh. Entered again this year (2003) with my now infamous 'stacked PAR Electronics loops', but missed many stations I usually work on 2m, so am only hoping the big guns missed the great Sunday evening 6m Es opening so I can mebbe win MI on 6, eh? - The bottom line of this is that I wish more stations will consider omni-directional gain antennas to increase activity and success on v/uhf - yeah, the long boom yagis WILL reach out further, but only if the other station is 'pointing back' - My concern about activity on v/uhf makes me promote general calling and monitoring using stacked loops et. al. i.e. omnidirectional gain antennas to reach more possible monitoring stations - comments, questions, darts? - gl es vy 73 de Mark KB8GC -- KB8GC
