Well I knew it was going to be a limited event,from the get-go.I have been experiencing lots of swr problems on all my main antennas as of late, 6m,2m,222,all suffer from viswaridis! had to build up three small pi-networks to shut up the viswar protection in the rig just to be able to operate. So was limited in what I could do. but was able to dole out some points to the guys anyway. It was a dismal contest. most of the big guns were missing,and no openings to my shack anyway.Gud thing my fist still works! had to resort to gud ol CW to pick up the slack on lots of calls that cud not be done on voice.(CW RULES!) So Im a headin for the tower shortly to bring them all down, to include the tribander which has not seen service since 1979, figured it was time. So I will be in gud shape for the SS in January, least ways I hope to be. not fer not trying! 73 Gud dx! catcha on the bands.
