It was my third year of operating from the Maple Leaf Motel in Emerson, MB.  I ran an IC706 barefoot to a 80/40 meter flat top trap dipole only 25' high and an elevated feedpoint Hygain 12AVQ vertical on 20, 15 and 10. 

The photo is of a marker that stands on the border of the US and Canada, only 200 yards South of the motel.  The camera is facing West so Canada is on the right and the extreme NW corner of Minnesota left.   The trees in the background are along the Red River.  Across the river left is the extreme NE corner of ND.  I was surprised to see no fence.
