I just moved to new location, read recent ARRL Propagation Bulletin, and decided to participate in ARRL 10-Meter Contest. I made simple dipole antenna, attached it almost vertically between tree branch and ground. First day I was able to make contact with local station from Utah only. Next day I found that my output power was setup for 10 W. When I changed it to 100 W, I was able to make three QSOs with Alaska. I heard match more stations, including US East Coast, West
Coast, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Cayman Islands, and Belize.
