Three hours was all I could muster from the beach, but really enjoyed it. 

Knew from the past that operating from ZF would be better than home, so packed up a two element Buddipole beam to use vertically strapped to  chair at the beach, and managed three hours out of the FT897 batteries.

Got about 60 QSO's and 20 mulipliers, a sunburn and lots of questions from passersby in the three hours - VP8, CR6 and KH6 made it worth the struggle - and the beam actually showed some directionality and gain.
