This year we went to Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club in the Bay Area for our FD experience.

Earlier this spring K7KTI and I joined MDARC as we was impressed about their outgoing attitude in promoting ham radio and high level of activity.

Especially impressed are we about their effort in recruiting youth to the hobby (K7KTI desperatly want more kids on the air).

We where invited to stay at the home of John K3ZJJ, while not on the FD site.

MDARC ran a great FD site, operating as W6CX 3A EB, lot of activity, lot of public stopping by, GOTA station and eager promoting of ham radio from all members participating.

MDARC, in my opinion got the point of FD, operating of the grid, making cvcontacts, using the oportunity to promote the hobby, and most of all having a great time.
