Even though I have been a ham for forty-five years, this is only my second SKN.  Had eight enjoyable ragchew QSOs on 80, 40, 30, and 15 meters to include being in contact with my home state of Illinois when the clock passed midnight on the West Coast.  Used a Nye straight key and a twenty-four year old Yaesu FT-767GX.  Next year I will have to think about getting some vintage gear down from the attic I used in the 70's.  Now it is back to using a bug until January 1, 2013.
