This was a first, both for me and for my kids.  I had upgraded to General Class early last year, but just recently got an antenna put up and borrowed a rig from a friend.  My prior HF experience was a few contacts made at Field Day last year, so these were my first HF contacts on my own using my own call.

My children, Madison, Jonathan, and Andrew, ages 9 to 6, had a lot of fun.  On the first couple of contacts I handled the initial contact, but then let the kids give their exchange.  Once we heard a youngster calling CQ my daughter decided she wanted to do more so I let her respond to the CQ and handle nearly the entire contact.

We are located in Gladbrook, IA and worked stations KA2WFJ, W0EJ, and K1HRD on 20 meters.

Thanks for everyone's patience as somebody new to HF shared the hobby with his kids.
