All the food was prepared (cooked), the tonic was iced down, the cookies cooled off. We're all set for 2 days playing 'RADIO'.. The primary radio is functioning, the backup is dusted off. The antenna moves (was stuck last year). Couple dipoles strung just  incase.The generator is gassed up, the extension cords are rolled up. All we need is a good band opening.

Well, the band didn't open, the tonic disappeared, and the cookies are all gone. Everything worked or wasn't put into use. Except the computer logging program wouldn't accept input, so we had to do all logging by hand, how old fashioned. Total points is less than 1/3 of the 2011 'run', a paltry 16K, for the same time period of 27 hours.

Very few Eurpoeans (5), couple South Americans, 3 or 4 from the Mexico area, BC and AB came in solid for hours. Heard no locals. Had to use the 'listen/search and pounce' tactic. Heard some familiar calls.

Everything is put away for the next operating contest, December 2013.
