06/10/2002 | N5QYC Wow! The bands where either up or down with the hunt for contacts making life interesting. Had a great time, and beat my previous scores by a factor of three. Between dodgeing thunder heads, rain, and lightning and working only three bands my scores were greater then in previous contests. I even had a guest visit during the contest and now has been bitten by the contest bug. Goes to show you that you don't have to be a "Big Gun" to have fun during the VHF/UHF contests.
