Although I just moved into a new home and can't find anything in a sea of boxes, the XYL told me to take a break from moving stress and operate Field Day.  I Delta from the back deck on a beautifully hot few hours but still worked 32 States, all on 20!  All with a Buddipole (since I have no antenna set up yet).  20 was the stangest I've ever heard it.  I worked Rhode Island, practically next door to my Northern NJ QTH and LAX at the same time.  All kinds of short skip and very rapid QSB.  Maybe multi-hop?  I even heard some aurora buzz on a few signals.  The K-index was 4 and perhaps the Super Moon brings its own odd propagation (hi).  I had a few others mention the band was very strange too.  Hopefully, I’ll get a station set up in time for SS.  If not, it’s back on the deck with the Buddipole in a parka.
