The Yonkers Amateur Radio Club once again welcomed summer during Field Day 2013.  All the usual firends and smiling faces were there and in addtion this year we had several youngsters that showed a lot of us a thing or two about making contacts!  Hams from all over went out of their way to make contact when they heard the kids transmitting!

Yet as always transmitting was only part of the story!  Field Day was our chance to show friends and neighbors the hobby which brings good friends, technical expertise and community service together.  Visits by Yonkers elected officials as well as members of the Yonkers OEM underscore the great relationship that currently exsists.

Field Day is more than a contest or a drill for us at YARC, it's our chance for us to renew the bonds that truly make us family!
