2013 ARRL Kids Day - June
This was the first Kid's Day for my two Grandsons, Owen (11 years old) and Grant (9 years old.) They had other commitments that day and were only able to put in a little under 2 hours but they had great fun and made 17 QSO's. At Dairy Queen after the event, Grant looked up at me and said, "Grandpa, I had a really good time!" Yep, that's what it's all about, folks! Ham Radio is about having a Good Time!
Below is a post on my Blog with photos and a short video of one of their QSO's:

During their summer break, both boys are learning the Morse Code. This will let them get the Morse Code Interpreter Strip for their Cub Scout uniforms - and will help them with their ham radio careers in the future.
