I worked QRP Portable from atop Slide Mountain the highest peak in the heart of the Catskills located in New York.  I hiked in 2.7 miles to the summit with around 50 pounds of gear for the event.  I used my Yaesu FT-857 and a Lipo battery pack.  Roll out dipole for 6m and an Arrow Antenna for 2m/70cm  I also made a 223 contact on my Yaesu VX8R.

I was exhausted from the hike and enjoyed working from the mountain top, My battery lasted around 4 hours or so.  Ill revisit power supply on mountain tops going forward as this was a good time had and I wish I could have stayed on the summit longer to play with the radio.
