I worked as a single operator, unlimited, with a Yausu ftdx-3000 running at 100 watts.   I used a Transworld TW2010 portable dipole in my small backyard and a 70' bent dipole that forms a 'U' under my gutters, fed with ladder line and coupled with an LDG tuner.  The wire antenna was used for anything below 20 meters.

Conditions seemed much better than they have been, especially on 15 and 10.  I know they always appear great with all the contest activity, but a few days before the contest 10 meters was hot.

It was a blast!  I missed a clean sweep by two entities:  Hawaii and Quebec City.  I became obsessive watching the map fill in with colors in my logging program.  I also worked W1AW.  Next time I should have warned my wife I was going to be obsessively glued to my radio for more than a day.
