Just prior to 2013 PH SS gusting winds created problems with my primary antenna.  Needing to chase states needed for a 15 Meter Fone WAS, I quickly erected a simple dipole and hung it on a low limb of an apple tree in our backyard.  Running under 100 watts with that antenna about 7 ft off the ground provided me with several needed states.

We have had some nasty weather in the Texas Panhandle lately, got a couple of good days and decided to change that 15 meter dipole to 10 meters and enter the Ten Meter Contest.  I have 47 states confirmed on 10 CW, but only 21 on SSB.  Made over 200 contacts, a little over half on CW.  Running about 90 to 95 watts.  Didn't snag any needed states on CW, but captured 11 of them on fone.  Some of you guys in those states are going to receive my new QSL card and a SASE.  Thanks in advance, it will be appreciated.

Those of you that strained your ear to copy me, I know it had to be a weak 59 or 599, especially those of  you that were DX stations, thanks for hanging it there.

This sort of made my weekend and truthfully is a good early Christmas gift.
