2014 ARRL June VHF Contest
I operated for five hours in the QRP-Portable category.
My location was at the Etienne Brule Lookout in Gatineau Park, Quebec. The site is 355m ASL, or about 800 feet above the terrain to the south. The view is great, and the weather was perfect.
My station was a Yaesu FT-817 powered by a 12v 7Ah battery, running 5 watts to a 10el yagi on 432 and a 4el yagi on 144. By mistake, I left my 6m antenna at home.
I managed a paltry 23 QSOs with 17 Grid multipliers for 391 points.
