2014 ARRL June VHF Contest
This year the work do not interfered with the contest, family understand that Father's day can be moved a little to let Dad do something he like, making the trip to the station to organize and check all the details was se to friday with a normal 105 deg F for the day and forecast of winds 30-35mph with the also normal dust, making all on time friday but not the 2m beam to be placed due to the wind, Saturday morning was the 2m Antenna installation and works all fine, the contest start and no propagation, , get to make some groundwave Qsos with XE2CQ and K7JA and few more to have the slow start finally we got some limited openings and some areas provide good number of qsos, the surprise was to be call by KL7NO and gave first time KL Qso in this contest, Sunday with the poor propagation and a lot of operators in celebrating Father's Day was a real "Resistance test" to be in the seat calling cq in dead bands, this time my company was the increased level of noise line, some times over S9 to some directions where the NB really made a little to help, thinking now seriuosly to become portable , at least to have less or no noise to reach bigger numbers, this year I just pass the 200 Q's hoping better times in the next test from DM22
