06/30/2002 | W5NOR The South Canadian Amateur Radio Society (SCARS) of Norman, OK tries to make Field Day a learning experience and family outing for the members and guests. We operated 2A with a GOTA station and demonstrated APRS and SSTV. We didn't have as many total points as last year but everyone commented on how well it went over. The Mayor and 2 City Councilmen came by, we gained 7 new members and participation was at an all time high. -- N5UMH
