We couldn't use our regular site on Blue Mtn. because the road is closed seasonally for snow.  California is in a drought and there is no snow on the mountain but that didn't seem to matter!  Instead we operated from a mountain 3000 feet lower but a dozen miles further west.  This appears to have helped us pick up a few Southern CA grids that we hadn't worked in the past.

The entire central valley of California seemed to be submerged in fog making the view quite errie!

We ran a 3 element on 6, a 7 element on 2, a 5 element on 220, a pair of 14 elements on 70cm, a 6 element on 33cm, and 22 elements on 23cm.

This was the first January contest that we worked seriously, well not real seriously since we opted to go QRT early Sunday afternoon when things became quiet.
